SIBERIAN HUSKY
- Siberian Huskies Breeder - UtopiaLand
is
situated on 5 acres in Geelong, Victoria,
Australia. Our Siberian
Huskies are our loved
family members as well as our great companions.
As a
Siberian Huskies
breeder, we are committed to produce
"Q"uality
Siberians, not quantity.
We imported 12 Siberian Huskies and more than 20 frozen semen from the
top winning kennels in the US, Canada and Europe as our foundation.
They all have precious bloodlines in the purpose to benefit
and enhance the country. We will
certainly continue to put our efforts to extend the gene pool here.
We are the members of
Siberian Husky Club of Victoria
(S.H.C.V.),
Siberian Husky Club of New South Wale
(S.H.N.S.W) Utility Dog Club of Victoria,
Victorian Canine Association
and
Canine Control Council of Queensland.
We DO NOT breed for
colors and eye colors and we aim at breeding
quality
Siberian Huskies. While in our standard,
Quality means
"HEALTH,
TEMPERAMENT, AESTHETIC BEAUTY,
PRESENCE, SOUNDNESS,
BALANCE
STRUCTURE, and also the
MOVEMENT in the
breed
standard is essential."
These are not our own whim or only “we like”, but
should be
the purpose and value of breeding Siberian Huskies.
Siberian Husky
is very
happy, friendly, exuberant
and
intelligent,
together with their
striking appearance and pleasant smiles, they
are
very hard to resist.
However, please remember that
Siberian Husky is NOT for everyone!
They need
a long-term commitment to activity, entertainment,
exercise
and obedience.
Their
unique character and high energy level can frustrate you
although they
will undoubtedly entertain you and can bring you
lots of funs
or grief. If this type of relationship does not appeal to you,
please do not take Siberian Husky into consideration.
We strongly recommend that you must do a lot of research about this
breed
and ask a lot of questions
before owning your first husky.
There are some articles in
our "Siberian
Husky
resources"
section which can provide you with more information about them and
give you an insight into "SIBERIAN HUSKY".
The health issues of Siberian Husky
are
our first and foremost concerns,
therefore our Siberian Huskies
are only bred after 2 years old,
hold current clear
eye
certifications
(including
glaucoma).
They also have
thyroid
(every year according to
Siberian Husky Health Foundation)
and
hip tested
and cleared
prior to breeding. In 2006, we start to do the
DNA Canine Disease Testing. This test is about prevention of
recurrence, where there is a DNA test for a specific disease known to
occur in the Siberian Huskies, to avoid producing affected puppies.
This is not only for the sake of the puppies but for protection of our
breed.
Our
Aims:
